R. Shane Jackson serves as president of Jackson Healthcare, a position he’s held since 2013. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the company has risen to a place of prominence among the largest healthcare staffing and technology companies in the U.S.
From 2008 to 2015, Mr Jackson served as president of LocumTenens.com, a physician and advanced practice staffing firm. From 2004 to 2006, he served as president of Patient Placement Systems, a healthcare technology company providing an automated solution for the referring and placing of patients that require care after leaving the hospital. In 2000, Mr Jackson co-founded and acted as the president of NextStart Capital.
In 2012, Mr Jackson was named to Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of the 100 most influential people in the staffing industry. In 2008, he was named one of Atlanta’s “Top 40 Under 40” by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, recognizing him as one of Atlanta’s most accomplished young business leaders. Mr Jackson earned an M.B.A., with honors, from Emory University, where he was one of a distinguished group of students selected for the institution’s accelerated three-semester degree program. He also holds a B.B.A from Harding University.
Mr Jackson is a member of the board of directors of Rise Air, an innovative private-flight sharing company. He is on the board of civic organizations including the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, North Fulton Community Improvement District, and the Alpharetta Technology Commission and non-profit organizations including Junior Achievement of Atlanta and the Goodman Institute. From 2008 to 2013, he served as a member of the board of directors of Predisan, a not-for-profit, healthcare organization serving eastern Honduras.
