Philip K. Porter, Ph.D.

Philip K. Porter, Ph.D. is a professor of economics at the University of South Florida and Director of the school’s Center for Economic Policy Analysis.

He has authored numerous articles in academic journals, including Public Choice, and has held prestigious positions with Advances in the Economics of Sports, the Journal of Sports Management and the Heartland Institute. Porter received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from Auburn University and he earned a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in 1978.
